issues that occurred in the last month
needle valve on my ca reactor regulator broke...
nitrates hit an all time high...started losing some sps.
bryopsis outbreak.

updates september:

mag 18 return pump on display tank
deep blue triton 5 on refugium
diy daily automatic water change /auto top off
dosing 250ml of kent tech m briopsis has practically diminshed

thanks pauli... just got that blueberry gorgonian the other day... didn't look to good in the store but i took the chance. 24 hours later opened right up.

Wow! That tank looks great guys. I don't know if your still having problem with algea, but I did for a while as well. I believe some of my dry rock was leaching PO4. I also used Kent Tech M with great success. The HA really just melted away.

OKAY. november update:
having an issue ...cyano in my refugium. this pic is from last month. i removed the divider but, i am still getting black cyano. i keep scooping it out...but i can't get rid of it. i am running a triton 5 on the refugium.....anyhow time for some pics.

setup

Nice setup. Do u have the fuge feeding the sump and the the sump feeding the dt? If so how do u get the water from the fuge to the sump? Is it gravity feed, overflow box? I'm thinking of doing a seperate 40 gallon refugium and a 75 gallon sump but not sure how set it up. Thanx.

the 55g being my refugium has a 1" bulkhead on the front right top corner that feeds into my 40+/- gallon sump. it is fed by a 1000gph pump inside the sump.... the overflo is plumbed to the opposite side of the sump.

okay so i did some repairs. i lost 5 blue leds over the last year and i am finally changing them out. i am also going to be replacing all of my eln drivers and putting in just 2 hlg 240h-48b drivers. going to fuse each string and i have to add a resistor on each driver. thats later on this month... fingers crossed that is.


bad led out of 5 total after about a year.

^ definitely. If you look in the diy section I have just finished building led pendants for CRYPTICS. it has 6 LEDs a pendant and you can really get that purplish color of light ome desire.
