really depends on the personality of the fire fish. and since ur rimless it's probly not a good idea for a fire fish cuz mine jumped after a year and the new one jumped after 3 days. I think a blenny will be nice especially a bicolor they don't swim a lot but yet tend to do stupid stuff that will put a smile on ur face

Cool so a bi color Blenny. Or African midas Blenny. I read the midas as a little aggressive when in a small tank, anyone have experience w them?

If you have not done it, make sure you treat your firefish with something against fungus (Melafix, etc etc). I lost one due to that. He was attacked by a fish, then everything looked fine, till I noticed, too late, that he had fin rot.

I bought Melafix but it was too late. You can get it at Petco. I noticed recently that Manhattan Aquariums was carrying something (forgot the name, there is '2' in it) that I had read a lot of good things about.

No matter what, you will need a small QT tank.

Note that since this is a very sensitive and shy fish, I would recommend that when you put it back in your tank, you first let it inside a protected enclosure for a couple of days, that way he gets used to the tank, and its inmates will not see him as food when he is released back in.

Should I get a Flame Angelfish or a Mystery wrasse. My main concern is the compatibility w the helfrichi firefish.
