Latest additions. Not sure if I have an exquisite since I have not seen it since it went in the tank. Might be hiding, or just never made it. Next set of pics I must get are those of the gobies.
And some updated pics of the tank. Corals are looking absolutely beautiful. You can really tell that they are happy. Best thing I ever did for my critters was redoing the whole thing.
:grouphug: Once again, Thank You, Michael, Chris, Kathy, Jon, Pedro, JP, Omega, Wingo. Without you guys this would not have been possible.:grouphug:

i see you got the firefish a little mate. cool.

are the anthias eating?

There suppose to be 4 firefish, don't know where the others are. Last I saw them they were in a corner. Then these two decided to stick together.
The anthias are a group of five, had them now a week. Some are eating if not all. I can't tell them apart.lol These are the larytails. I tried twice with the dispars and lost them. This is my last attempt with anthias, they are doing really go. Might try the bartlets next.

lyretails are easier than the other two anthias you mentioned.

btw most people think that firefish are schooling fish but they really aren't. i hope yours get along

info from liveaquaria:
"...It is generally not aggressive towards other fish except those of its own species; a mated pair can live peacefully...

Looking good Awilda.

Any issues with the sand? I have seen the sand kind of soilidify on some people's tank, curious about your input.

You gotta slow down girl, you're like on a 100 meter sprint, lol. Love the wrasses though.

Thanks Pedro.
Not yet. Did start to get diatom bloom, added some nassarius, turbos, gobies, and a sand sifter star fish.
I appreciate the warning, glad to know you are looking out. Hopefully things will continue to go well.
You forgot I had quite a few of those fish already. The new ones have been added in two seperate weeks. Doing weekly water changes. So far things are going well in the tank. Plan on adding two more wrasses. Replacement for DOA last week, and the missing one in a month if it doesn't turn up. And possibly a yellow tang in about 5 months. Now corals, that's a different story. Adding one tomorrow, and another possibly Sunday if my son hooks up with rstimeout.

Oh damn, be careful introducing these sick fish. It's ok to rescue them, but you need a medicine tank for that. Hope things get better. How's the eel?

Your buddy is fine. Never had an eel get ich. I think they are in pervious to the decease.:) Thought by lowering the salinity to 1.015, raising the temp to 80, and running the uv would take care of it. Sadly to say it didn't work. Looks like the others will be ok.

Update, all that made it through the ich out break in the 75gl. fowlr are the Banana Eel, and the Marine Betta. Loss 5 fish in total to ich in that tank.
Update of 155 will follow soon as I take some decent pics with my little 3 pixel pocket camera.
It is looking absolute beautiful, except for micro bubbles.

I have more pics that I will be uploading later into my gallery for those that would like to see them. Yes, I am a little insecure when it comes to my tank. Especially with my lousy pics.

I want to know from the Tang Patrol, when it would be safe to add fish to my reef, and if 4 tangs in a 155 bow front is OK? For the following reason:
We switched tanks on 2/25/07 same size tank just reef ready and larger sump. At that time the original 6 fish + 3 new chromis were introduced when all was done. 5 are still with me. Lost the male blonde naso.

3/2/07, 11 new fish(wrasse, gobies, cardinal, lary tail anthias) were added of which 6 are fine(anthias,1 gobie). The others I never saw once they went in the tank.
3/3/07, 1 more went in, and again it disapeered into the rock work never to be seen again.
3/13/07, 9 new fish were introduced 1(wrasse) immediatedly disapeered into the rocks, none remaining.
3/18/07, 1 more wrasse went in, it is still in the tank and doing well.
The fish that I have lost have all been small ones (wrasse, firefish, cardinals, gobies), with the exception of one of my original fish 6" male blonde naso.
The original bluesided wrasse + the damsel were chasing every wrasse that was introduced. The blonde naso had lost it's mate shortly before the move for no apparent reason.

The tank was set up with 50% old water(tap) + 50% ro/di, approximately 100lbs. of original lr, and 150lbs. of new esv fine sand. IO salt. I started doing weekly wc, but switched to bi-weekly. Last week parameters were; ammo 0, nitrite 0, nitrate .5, phos. .25, sg 1.025, temp. 78 - 79, forgot to check ph.
This weeks paramaters are; Ammo 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate less then .5, Phosphate .25 - .5, PH 8.4, Temp. 78, SG 1.025, Calcium finally went down 340, Alkalinity 9kH.

Have to mentione that all the corals (softies, lps, shroom, leathers, zoo) are doing remarkable. They are growing, and colors look great.

I plan to add 3 small tangs, Powder Blue, Yellow, and Tennant Tangs.
I already have 4"-5" purple tang, which by the way is why I would like to add the new ones at the same time. My thinking is that the pt will be to confused to go after any of them.

Current stock, 2 bluesided wrase, 1 McCosker?, 1 Purple tang, 5 larytail Anthias, 3 chromis, 1 GS Maroon, 1 orangespot goby, 1 scoooter blenny.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. Please, all comments are welcomed.

Awilda, im not so sure but you might be heading for trouble with so many tangs. I think once they start to fight and stuff it can get ugly. Just another point, but being that tangs are prone to ich, are you quarantining them? Adding 3 in one shot is a big risk, imo. I also think, based on your log, that you are going way too fast. Slow down a bit. Good luck.
