I’ll point them up. Vertical isn’t an option. So this weekend I finished my plumbing. (Had a few leaks.. on two joints I forgot to glue. My emergency drain has a small drip at one of my elbows so I’ll be cutting it out this weekend to replace.) I have my pumps, heaters, mp40s X4, and apex running. My probes were dry for 6 months and still work. Just need to be calibrated. So tank depot made right on the rodi reservoir. They shipped me a 100 gallon reservoir that will fit in my planned space. They were trying to tell me I’d have to pay crazy shipping on a replacement and finally I asked for a manager and went nuts and she agreed to fix the issue free of charge and arrange for the wrong size tank to be picked up. Just be careful when ordering from them and ensure they contact the manufacturer of the tank you’re planning on and have them measure the mold. My 100 gallon reservoir arrived this morning so I didn’t stay late at work today and came home and got it hooked up using my creep killer from Aquafx. I run my ATK directly from my reservoir so the creep killer is a must. I’ll be putting that in tomorrow morning. I have the tank cycle started. Added doctor Tim’s and some old bait and fish food. The rock scape will develop with time but I just placed my larger base rock in the tank to get it cycling.

I have a family member making me a matching canopy. As soon as that’s done I can mount my T5’s to it with adequate space to run my planned 6x xr15 pro G5’s. I control my mp40’s and radions with a wxm. Does anyone know if this mobius app will be capable of controlling the vectra pumps? I have them plugged into my EB832 but this only gives me on/off controllability. I had a reeflink on my office tank for a little bit hated the interface so I ditched it.

you will be able to control the L2s or any other ecotech products if they were purchased in the past year or so the mobius is only available for the versa dosing pumps as of now i contacted them and still no time frameto when we will be able to control everything using mobius

Few updated pictures. I finished my rodi reservoir and plumbed an M2 in-line with it to use for my water changes and to fill to containers of rodi I bring to work for my Reefer there. I tried to keep my wires for everything in the sump as neat as possible but there’s SO MANY. I basically just zip tied them together and got them out of the way as best as possible. Anything on a pipe that holds water has the appropriate drip loop in place. I moved my rock around to incorporate some caves for fish to hide in and swim through but I’m still not happy. I have my cycle going. I’ve been adding cut squid and spearing to feed bacteria (last years leftover fluke bait). Wired all my mp40s and mounted the controls (except one because I can’t find the damn bracket!! I was supposed to pick up a few brackets for free from a guy on Mr but I was too dam lazy to grab them. Guess I’ll have to buy one now ?) waiting on my hood so I can start mounting my lights. Threw in a few pictures of my snake enclosures. If anyone knows of someone looking to get rid of a reptile rack system please hit me up because I want to get rid of the tanks.

Finally got my canopy on. My wife’s uncle (Bob Mohr) is a true craftsman and it fit perfectly with all stainless screws and hinges. Put in 4x48” Geissman fixtures. (4x blue plus and 4x coral plus.) 4 or 6 xr15 pros g5 will follow but now considering 3x xr30 pro. The tank looks amazing with lights on it and the fish look even better. I’ll be adding corals very soon. I’ll start with zoas and shrooms. Need to do a water change and put my dos and ddr online. Looking into a geo ca reactor to enable me to use the dos for mag and trace elements. Started running my turf scrubber the other day and it’s already growing algae. I have plenty of nori but down the line I’ll be drying it and feeding it back to the tangs. So far I have the following fish.
unicorn tang
Blank tang
Achilles tang
Vlamingi tang
Desjardini tang
Hippo tang
Blonde naso tang
Female bellus
Pencil wrasse
Pair of clowns
Had three wrasses that jumped to their death prior to me having the canopy. Flame. Labouti. Diamond tail flasher. That hurt because they all jumped in one day.

So I recently moved and instead of setting up my Red Sea max650 again I sold it and bought a brand new mega Matrix planet Aquariums 310. It’s a 96” Long tank. Getting all my equipment through Dave at reef trends. (He and Allen even came yesterday to help get it into my house!!) built the supports and table for my sump yesterday morning with Chalan. Thanks again Chris. Here’s a few pictures of where I’m at now. I’ll post updates and pictures as I go along. Going with all ecotech pumps and radion/T5 lighting. Reusing all my apex equipment. Going to have a sand bottom.

Looks great bro! So you didn’t put this one in the basement I see. I’ll have to check it out one day now that I’m back to NY.

Tank looks amazing brotha! If i were to say anything at all, just make sure you’re getting good flow around the tank so you don’t have too many dead spots where detritus can settle in. It wouldn’t be an issue anytime soon because it’s a new tank but just something to think about down the line.

Finally got my radions. 3x xr30 pro G5. Running AB+ for the daytime in conjunction with my T5. Blue morning and night. I have to admit I used Mobius to run them and it was pain free to use. A little hard to customize but overall pretty good in comparison to other EcoTech programs I’ve used. Hooked up my calcium reactor about a month ago. Geo cr818 with a carbon doser and Kamoer pump. Unfortunately I couldn’t get reborn so I’m using ARM. I’m not happy with the effluent alk coming out at 12. Using a apex ph probe to control the doser. I’ve added tons of sps frags and a few mini colonies that are all doing great and a few cherry lps pieces. I’m overall very happy with the tank itself and all the equipment I’ve purchased. Only real issue I’ve had is with my Apis 300 turf scrubber. They use very cheap Chinese leds. Both of my units have had major issues. (Fans not working and bulbs burning out and burning the plastic bulb cover). But I have to say their customer service is great and they just sent me two brand née light fixtures to replace the bad ones. (Although they’re a different size so I have to modify the scrubber body). Sorry for the long period between updates but life just got in the way.

I can only imagine the total cost of a build like this. The aquarium is beautiful. I agree with Stourysreef. Open your rock work for better water circulate through the rocks. Like caves and space between the rocks. Like Stourysreef suggested about detritus in future. Lots of luck with this amazing tank.
