Well the tank is still running, and being sort of cared for by the ex wife  It has had very little maintenance since jan this year but is doing fine. It is sold but my friend who is having the tank is waiting for some acrylic to come from over here to build his new tank ( 16x5x3) and then my tank is going to be his sump. His sysytem will be over 2000 gallons (british). There are still 80 fish 29 differant spcs in the tank and the corals are fighting each other for space. The strongest wins. I could spend a day doing some serious fragging in there and still be overgrown  here are some pics that were taken when my fiance came over to see the tank.

The tank has now been running for 2.5 years. The tank has gone through numerous changes in the time it has been running. It now has 2 large sumps to replace the single smaller one. Apart from equipment failure i have never had any problems at all with anything. The floods were caused by the dreaded failure  The fish have always got on, and the coral growth rate has always been outstanding especially after going to 400 watt halides. The colouration is also good with the sps after experimenting with differing light kelvins and par's. Although there is and always has been a large fish load i believe the success should be granted to the 5000 twin skimmer which has always performed faultlessly, the 350 odd kgs of quality live rock and the dsb/refugiums which i still say account for nearly all of the nutriant displacement.

My heart goes out to you man. Great tank, went through an upgrade and then a divorce, moved to the US, got a new fiance, sold and tore the tank. What can I say. To say the last year has been rough on you is an understatement.

I look forward to seeing you set up the next beast. It should be fun. If I could help in any way when the time comes, let me know. Where in the US are you at now?

Garry:

I recently moved to a distant part of the country from where I was before. I have been here for 5-6 months and can hardly say I know many people with a reef tank. I have met a few from trying to start a reef club in the area, but that is about it.

Reef clubs are very popular in the US, so ask at your local stores if they know of any. If you ever come to FL, let me know.

Well The tank is stripped and gone now just a memory and a bunch of pics. I now have a 75 gallon hex a 35 gal hex and a 29 gal all are fowlr systems. I am now settled in my new home over here with you guys in the USA plus Me and my wife are planning a lfs in Salisbury NH around summer time so most of our time is spent on planning for this. First off just fish inverts live rock and sand no dry goods until we know this is going to be a worthwhile venture. So thanks to all who have followed this thread and maybe one day we can meet, you never know? :D

Thanks Again Garry
