tank was doing great
i added 2 more xr30
(3 xr30 g5 + 2 xr30g6)
4 mp40s and 2 mp60s
but last week i got a terrible bacterial bloom
tank got cloudy overnight
i added sand in glass jars in the sump and uv sterilizer and within a 6 days the tank became clear again
if i were to do it again i would def plumb a uv into the system
for now i got a submersible one and figure it out later
this hobby will make you go crazy ?

Looking good! I had a bacterial bloom too - overdosed NO3PO4X. It was so bad I could barely see the rocks but it cleared up over about 5 days without a water change. I lost the smallest of my yellow tangs though, never reappeared after the bloom.

trying to go barebottom but think i needed the sand to get the bacterial population biodiversity
then. i will remove it slowly over time
I saw the same exact thing happen to Tropical Island when they started a new bare bottom 160+ gallon SPS tank. White bacterial bloom...full bare bottom.

Also had this happen to me when starting NoPox. How are the fish? Mine were breathing harder due to O2 being consumed by bacteria. UV def helped clear in 1 day.
