How does the marco rock compare to live rock? Will it eventually be colonized and do the same job ( if mixed with live rock )?

It takes a long time to cure and you still have to seed the sand with live sand from a set up tank as well as add a small piece of live rock to get the cycle going.

TY! Here is a pic with both canopys on. I will take better ones when my cam is fixed but here is one I took with my laptop. The lights and vortech are on the 59. The light has a lumen brite reflector, hence the tall canopy.

I will also be staining and putting doors on the stand.

the new hood needs a shell border or something to break it up, and the stand on the cube needs some help. can you send me a full shot of both tanks.

i mean the stand on the 58...

The stand on the 58 is getting doors and stained for free wooohooo. I love your work Jonathan but free is better...lol...The canopy actually needs a way to get in without taking it off....want to solve my problem...lol...come over with a saw.

I think it also needs an octopus cake WITH icing.

Very gutsy doing both at once. I like it :smokin: .
I might have missed somethings...can you tell me did you tie the two tanks together in the sump? If so great idea. You have done a great job with everything. The smallest and only only thing I am not crazy for is the pump in the middle of your rockwork on your 59 is that because it has the center drain and it was the only place you could put it? Could you do something with a loctite(is that spelling right) where the branches go to the sides?
Anyway the whole concept is great congrats.

I actually got a vortech, that was just for flow while I was waiting to pick it up. Ming did my plumbing, I would ask him any questions. He did a terrific job!

You know I would... I am all for aesthetics. Imagine all this equipment and beautiful canopies with a gross stand...heehee. Yuk! The guy who works with me took measurements last week. He should have something soon.
