Kathy-- the jawfish pics are great! My jawfish is my favorite lil' bad a$$.. he has a lil' attitude, comes at everything mouth wide open, cracks me up. Though he has moved his 'cave' about ten times since he's been in the tank we are on a new record... he's been in the same place for about a week now. (Now that I said that I'm sure he'll be moving as I am typing this)

Man, I want a jawfish now.
Blame Ming :) He started it! I've heard this same comment 10 times today..those folks in FL are going to be asking themselves what the heck is going on in NY?? lol

JD - no I can't tomorrow..I have other plans :(

Sybil...yup, you put the whammy on yourself! I hear they don't tend to move them too often once they feel they've found the right spot..like maybe the direction the food blows? I'll be content if at least one of them stays where I can see them when I'm working :)

I didn't take that many pics of my jawfish. Most pics came after they started breeding. Although people loved watching it move sand around and digging. :splitspin

I've liked jawfishes since I started this hobby. I actually had one as my first saltwater fish, although I wish I knew better then. Thats another story

Great tank Kathy!!

I am going to start a sponge thread and link it here. That way when everyone gets one, we can share tips on how to care for it and what it likes to eat best

Wow Kathy, looks great!

I need some help with my lights for the 6G...any suggestions?? How those LED working out for you?

Thanks Oriol!
Have you tried changing out the bulb yet? I have no idea how old it was. The LED's aren't as bright as I'd hoped. I'm going to speak with Wingo to see if he has something stronger. I'll let you know what I find out :)

I lost one of the Jawfish early on, he ate & ate but never grew and then I lost him. Possibly an internal parasite. The other Jawfish "Goofy" is my best buddy when I'm working.
He shares the tank with approx 75 micro stars..their legs are sticking out everywhere! I'll have to snap a pic around feeding time.
I think Goofy was asking me to put the camera down and go get him some more food when I took this pic...

Good job Kathy....
And a warning to all others...the sponges w/ zoas on them need high flow....

And as for Sealife.....I would be very carefull with stuff from there...I found a few bad hitchhikers on his stuff...pleaes do a ro/di dip before entering into your system with stuff from there!
