got tired of the Vortechs moving the sand from the front of the tank...decided to try something different...glued sand to acrylic sheets, and placed them on the aquarium floor!
Will finish tonite and get a FTS

Alfie looks great love that Idea. I assume you are leaving areas of sand for the wrasses ?
Yes, Thane, the 'deeper' sand is in the back of the tank, which is their 'preferred' sleep area.

cool idea.
i went bb 'cause i hate the bald spots on the sand from the mp40's.
that looks really nice.
what did you use to glue the sand down?
thanks Tom,
I used regular super glue...probably would have been better to use SG gel, or if I had the patience, to wait for the swap and get IC gel!

I can see the wrasses are saying, Alfie fool yourself with the fake sand floor but not us :sgrin:
so far so good with the wrasses...

in fact I 'enjoyed' the smell of super glue, soooo much, that I made a container for my tube anemone...
