ok this might sound really dumb but bare with me. Are baffels really, necessary ? I mean on my tank now i have one baffel for all the bubbles. But that's it . I mean i will set up one for the fuge intake and out take but other than that i don't think i need it. But that could just be my own stupidity. well let me know.

well I got all my stuff today so I 'm really happy. I don't have it set up yet but I have all the live stock in my tank and sump and then all the rest of the live rock downstairs in the new sump. I 'll have pics up as soon as i can.

lol sorry its been crazy over here. i have the tank and everything its just not set up yet. I have to take apart my 55, Im making water right now, trying to build some stand cuz the original is not a possibility right now and lets see what else ? Oh yeah my friend unexpectedly gave me a powder blue tang and I have to set him up in a qt. i kinda of recued him from petco. They have no idea what their doing there. and my camra is down, but I'll have pics of everything tomarrow. On the good side all the stuff I got is great!!! THe trip was a success with no problems all the live stock made it with no trouble. And I'm very excited to get this set up. The problem no is that the stand I got is only 24" high so I have to build a base to make it higher and at eye level. Then when its all set up what I plan on doing is building either a fake wall or some sort of stand to cover it. But thanks for the replies and the antisipation.

thats just some of the stuff i got from the guy, two 44 gal brute containers for water changes and top off. and the tank all emptied and getting cleaned. Oh and thats the stand that I will have to use for now tomarrow I 'm going to build a platform for it to rasie it so the tanks eyelevel. Then after chrismas I hope I can cover the whole and make it look like its in the wall

that tee insert is so that when i do a water cahnge the pump, will pump the water right out side. Thats once i connect the line outside

ok this stupis tank is going to get a slege hammer through it in about 2 sec !!!! I hate plumbing !!! i hate it hate it hate it !!!!!! well any way thats how my progress is right now. did i hear a plumbing problem ? where are you located ? and what sort of plumbing prob are you having with your tank ?,I may know a plumber that can help you out :knockedou

well i had trouble getting the plumbing right for the tank but I figured it out and i think i can make it work. it was hard getting the pipes upstairs to the tank but it wikll work now. I gotta get the returns put in now, I just got fustrated wtih all. I jsut want it to be done so i can sit and stare at it. But thank you any. oh by the way what do you have for sale.

steve hows the tank comming along.. also i had another question for ya how much did that skimmer cost ya i need to purchase a good one for my 75 gallon but i dont want to spend a crap load of money on it. let me no please so i can purchase the skimmer soon. also any updates on pics from the tank show us some new stuff ya doing.

yeah now I m happy becasue the plumbings done. I did some aquascapinig i think it looks really good but I will put up some pics soon. It looks kind of like crap becasue it all cloudy but it coming along. As for the skimmer idk man. It cam with the set up but the guy did tell me that 6 mos ago it cost him like 600 and he got it online. So I know that a crap load of money but you could try ebay they have some euro reefs and stuff on the for pretty good prices. If I see anything I 'll let you know. Idk if you would be interested in used stuff though.

comming along. it takes time and especially more time on a setup of that size. umm im looking for either used or brand new. something exactly like that maybe a lil smaller since im putting it in a 20g sump for a 75 gallon show tank. if you find anything let me know i would appreciate it.

why dont you try to make more holes so the fishs can go hide. make the rocks looser (for lack of better words) your adding more live rock to the tank right.
