Not much new to report. Yellow tang will be getting out of QT soon.

Yesterday a package from reefcleaners arrived.

500 dwarf ceriths
100 nassarius vibex

Holy crap this is alot of snails! Hopefully they save some food for the fish. Reefcleaners.org is the best deal on the web for quality CUC.

Ok so I have alot of updates. All my NEW fish have gone through QT and are in the system.

ALSO, this weekend I got everything and everyone moved over from the 65g. I took some pics. Sorry about the really bad glare. It's near impossible to get daytime pics w/out the sun glare from the living room window. I'll take some better pics when i get some time after sun down.

Here is the aftermath of the 65g. Kind of sad, I was sooo full of corals and mature a few days ago...

I have new plans for this tank so stay tuned ;)

Ok I am a horrible photographer. I took about 20 pics today and only a couple turned out ok. This is how the tank looks today. Coralline has really purpled up the marco rocks and the corals are doing pretty well so far.

One of my favorite Acros, the
Upscales Microlados is starting to grow and show good color for me.

Thanks. Right now I am using an old pair of reeflux 12ks.

I made a rookie mistake and swapped the reflux bulbs with some brand new xm 10k's. Even with the reduced photoperiod of 4 hours I was burning some of my SPS for lack of a better term.

I put the old reeflux bulbs back in to give the corals a break to recover while I think of my next move.

I'll probably go with a slightly brighter, whiter bulb that is not as intense as the xm 10k.

You know, I've never seen the SE lit. The Ushio rep at MACNA ( who I know) swore to me that they were very close in appearance and they are a very high quality company, so chances are better than with most other companies that they got it right. If it were me, I'd def. give them a shot. For me, the Ushio 14K DE with some actinic supplement ( which I don't have) is pretty darn near perfect for an SPS dominated reef.
