Table shrimp, interesting. I've heard of this method of cycling. Do you know of some one who as had success with this method and what exactly should someone be watching for in this sort of procedure?

it will speed the cycle up faster as it has given amonia ect something to start on

This is how I cycled my first tank. It helps get the nitrogen cycle moving along. I just keep checking the ammonia, then nitrite, and so on. In my first tank I had zero nitrites in about 2 weeks.

Cool... Btw, what was that rock or something in the mid left bottom of tank ? It's on the sand bed, right next to the rocks, more towards the back.
