saw the tank myself, very impressive setup. All aspects seem to have been thought out. I'm excited to see it filled with corals as those were very healthy in the holding tank. Tagging along...
The overflow has been modified and everything is just about finished. In the next few days i will be adding sand & salt water. Gotta get this cycle started.
Have to choose a sand. Would like to go with a fine grade but I'm sure it will be a big problem for the shallow tank/mp10 combo. May use the mp10 in the cube. Still not sure yet.
Going to mount a floating shelf above the setup an have the 3 par38s mounted on it.
Heres some new pictures and a video with the sand added. I am currently working 12 hr days so i have no time to look at the tank let alone finish some desired things.
rock is still not adjusted into its final place. and a lot of rubble pieces still need to be glued in various spots.
Thanks quang. so far its coming out amazing. had a few speedbumps but coming along. i ordered my light fixtures and just waiting to buy the bulbs. waiting on a few people that promised me them once they get there ai.
Only time will tell what kind of algae i will get. Not really concerned about it either.
Basically the tank is finished besides a few things. Everything from the holding tank has been transfered over [Coral/Fish/Cuc] I even attached the filter as you can see in the photo for extra bacteria and i added a 20lb piece of liverock to the sump. Ill remove the filter or just move it too the sump area and possibly run some carbon with it. not exactly sure yet.
so far everything seems like it is doing well. Ill probably wait another couple of weeks until i make some new purchases.
still waiting on my other 2 par 38's. Also going to make a strip of mr16's in actinic and other odd color spectrums.
more to follow.
i love waking up too the view. [its right in front of my bed next to my tv]
Looking great Johny, I think you will have to be patient for it to cycle , I know there could be nitrates issues from the exposed rock, but when it matures, it's gonna kick some real butt
I replaced the male clown [i wrote female by accident in an earlier post]
if you look on the rear you can see a sheet of plexy i mounted to the tanks by the overflow so nothing can climb out. i ordered a piece of glass cut to my dimensions and should have it soon. its just temporary
