I thought the gold stripes disappear as the fish matures?

Time to Quit Clownin' Around

Excerpt (just before Conclusion):
(Left) A juvenile female Gold Striped Maroon Clownfish. Note how the gold has yet to materialize on the juvenile. As she ages the gold will fill in. (Right) Nine months later the same female and her mate in a new host. Note how the female is starting to develop a slight Gold coloration in her stripes.

why do you want a "tiny" one when yours is 4"?
A 4" clownfish is most likely a female. A smaller clown is less likely to have "transformed" :batangel: from a juvenile into a female; making the pairing process smoother :lovestory A smaller clown is less likely to put up a struggle :fight2: to be the dominant fish, again, making the process easier. 2 female clowns of any size would probably fight till one dies :skull::dead1:

I always worried that tiny ones(less than an inch) will be eaten up (never seen it though) small ones(some what an inch) with something like the most 2.5".

GUess that I am just over sensitive.
