woah...slow down. If everything in the tank is dying then the last thing you want to do is add more livestock. Did you do some water tests? You may have an ammonia spike going on. How about some info about the tank. What size is it? How long has it been running? What kind of equipment? What livestock and for how long? What are the water parameters? Please share anything and everything that you can think of!

well lets see its been two months since the tank crashed and i washed it out and started fresh, its 10 gallons with 2 20 watt 50/50 bulbs. just bought some live rock, has a aquaclear filter on it and the only thing in the tank is water, rock and sand. also as a hitchhiker on the rock is a curly cue anemone.

i lost about 300 dollars of live stock cuz of the crash and my husband has me on a tight budget.

so my tank has already cycled ready to start adding new things.

plus im never going to that store where my friend purchased that sebae.

the sad thing is that tank was up and going for a year and a half and many of the things that i had were given to me as gifts. so i am really pissed about the whole thing. the only thati believe survived were bristleworms. LOL.

I don't think, even a healthy sebae would survive in a 10 gallon tank with only 40w of lighting. For that matter, neither would a bubble tip anemone. You need to upgrade your lighting or downgrade your choice of livestock.

my bubble tip was quite healthy, had a beautiful green color and he was on top of all the rocks and i always kept my water at tip top shape. he was beautiful and was splitting until the tank crashed. my friend took me to the store where she bought the sebae and i was digusting on the way the livestock was managed, the display was about a 10 gallon, bare bottom and there was about 20 sebae of different sizes in there, it was quite disgusting actually some of them were just floating around.

Someone else has a thread going about sebaes. They are best avoided. The majority of the ones which are in stores are bleached and/or dyed and will most likely not survive long term. A healthy sebae is a creamy tan/light brownish color, not white like the ones in the stores. They require more light than a BTA too.

loose polyps are free unless it's a ricordia..or some hard to find ones.

Nano frag starts at $5, a head of frogspawn or torch is like $10 and $5 for a head of candy cane.

By the way my condo anemones and RBTA is doing good(both grow bigger) in a 15G with 1x65W daylight(Ori. 2 x65W one blown.) They don't climb up the rocks for sunbathing. Instead of trying to grab more light, one of the condo actually hide himself inside the shade most of the time.

The anemone hiding isn't neccesarily due to it having too much light. :help:

Of course. There are many factors too. Same goes for anemone dying does not imply not enough light by default. Just trying to point out that the assumption of not enough light may or may not be correct. Light is only one of the sources of food for them. We need to check more factors before actually knowing what really goes on with his case.
