Magfloat had an interesting display at the Global Pet Expo showing off their new line of glass scrapers that can go all the way up to 3/4″ glass thickness.  Basically you can move the scraper around their tank and see how it moves on different thicknesses of glass (each side of the display was a different thickness).  They were also showing off the replaceable blade packaging which makes it super easy to switch out an old blade for a new one.  This product is already available in local stores.
