In light of the current global situation, it is more important than ever to provide crucial support to early-career marine scientists. For that reason, the MASNA 2020-2021 Student Scholarship will proceed as usual. The 2020 – 2021 MASNA Student Scholarships will be publicly awarded to the recipients at the 32nd annual Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) in 2021, location to be announced. Financial assistance will be made available for the successful applicants to attend MACNA 2021. The deadline for submission is June 5, 2020, by midnight of the submitting applicant’s time zone.

This year there are two scholarships available; one $4,000 scholarship for a college undergraduate student (incoming and current undergraduate students), and one $4,000 scholarship for a college graduate student (incoming and current graduate students).

This is the 12th year for the MASNA Student Scholarship Program. In total, the MASNA Student Scholarship program has contributed $72,000 to college students who have significantly impacted the marine aquarium hobby.
