Through Osearch, I have been following these two Great White Sharks since last year. Osearch tagged over a dozen sharks last year, as part of a research project to learn Great White migratory patterns. The website allows you to see where the Sharks are in real time. Here’s an update on Katherine and Betsy, Two, now famous, Great White’s who were tagged back in 2013 near Cape Cod. Having traveled over 36,000 miles since then, its been exiting seeing where they will go next. Currently they are both in the Gulf of Mexico. Betsy was about 120 miles from the Coast of Sarasota this month. Katherine was about 100 miles offshore of the Florida Coast. Researchers speculate that the sharks may be headed for Texas. Its unusual to find Great Whites in the Gulf of Mexico, particularly in the summer time.  MORE
