BioTek Marine Releases 2 New Salinity Refractometer Models

by | Jan 7, 2021 | Equipment | 0 comments

We are pleased to announce the release of two completely redesigned refractometers from BioTek Marine.

The patent pending refractometers measure true seawater salinity levels instead of just salt water. The BioTek refractometers account for calcium, magnesium and calcium chloride, providing highly accurate and precise results.

The new refractometers also account for ATC (auto temperature compensation) ranging from 41 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (5-30 degrees Celsius). The left side of the scale displays a specific gravity scale with a rage of 1.000 to 1.070 while the right side measures salinity levels in ppt from 1-100 with 1 ppt scale measurements. The accuracy tolerance is within +/- 0.001 accuracy. And perhaps best of all, both models are easier to read than many refractometer brands.

There are 2 models to choose from. One requires a light source MORE
