Cover your tanks! – Hands on review of D-D The Aquarium Solution JumpGuard

For those of you that know me personally or follow me on my social media platforms, it’s no secret that I love my wrasses. During the earliest days of my hobby, I was taught an expensive and valuable lesson: cover my tanks if I want to keep my beloved wrasses inside of my aquarium and not outside of it on the floor. Dry… crispy… and mummified… I tried to relay this to everyone that I met, and to my surprise, I found that many people didn’t want to because of how it makes their tank look. As rimless designs became ever more popular, to my frustration, more and more hobbyists were considering the appearance of their tank to be more important than keeping their fish from jumping out. Well, that’s an excuse of the past. There are many wonderful manufacturers out there that sells kits, as well as companies that do all the work for you and all you have to do is to place it on top of your aquarium, such as the one that I got from Toplids. If that is out of budget for you, D-D The Aquarium Solution has released covers for rimless tanks as well as traditional rimmed tanks that are both effective and aesthetically pleasing. For this video, I got together with my close friend Richard Rayl to put one together for one of my project tanks. We share our tidbits, what to dos and not to dos, and what we think of this product. Check it out.
