Help with Sump please

He could simply extend PVC tubing from the bulkhead fittings up to a point higher than the overflow. Fill the tank and start cycling.
Then build the sump at a slower pace.

Fitting a great skimmer and reactor with a fuge section into that area.

This will need an ATO to run a return section at that capacity though.

Should i look to T off the drain or the return? I'm thinking about fuge on the side. Not sure if return should be in the center or side

If fuge is in center , my opinion is that it can benefit from better circulation , an I'm installing Ato this week hopefully

I prefer to Tee of the return.

If you Tee of the drain then you are diverting dirty water away from your skimmer to favor your fuge. But your fuge is not the most efficient nutrient exporter and it does not run 24/7/365.

Thanks for all the help guys. After much reading and all the participated posts in here, i decided to go with return in the middle. I left 10" inches for the skimmer, so I can put a good one in there later on.
