yep he bought a new skimmer after it was built, so i had to design something else

So good news! The tank holds water in all compartments! ran the plumbing last night but the pump I have is incredibly loud for some reason, also its stronger than I expected to im gonna take it back and get the next smallest model.

Sounds like another diy to me. A manifold is different pieces of pvc, valves and hose barbs put together to regulate flow to different places.

Oh okay I see, the only issue is that, althought that would solve the high flow, the pump itself is still very loud like its grinding, the box was a little torn up and im thinking now that maybe it was a return and the person ran it dry or something, but regaurdless i think I will make a basic manifold

nice love it.......do u plan on painting the back of the tank???the top on the skimmer is upside down turn it around.....also once u add more rock u gonna need more flow in the tank....just a heads up wow lookin nice bro.....

CheckSix nice looking setup, now you can take your heater out of the tank and put it in the sump.

yeah rich im not using the sump yet, gonna build that manifold i think and i have to change the location of my ball valve on the return, thanks for the kind words !
