my question is do you have to modify them to get a 10K color

I am also running actinics
which is why i asked if the color temp changes if you over drive the LED

The light you listed is VERY YELLOW, site had 7K as the highest kelvin. Not sure I follow the overdrive a LED, max you can give it is 1000mA but I still don't think you'll be able to whiten up that much yellow.

It's designed as a warehouse lamp so I'd pass unless is was REALLY cheap try out.

Alibaba.com has so many suppliers to sell these pendents they are available in 30w to 150w led's with built in driver and heatsink these are called high bay led lights and these are vrey popular. Getting these for ecoexotic for $500 a pop is just over prices for no reason. Or you can make your light with 50w led and driver and heat sink as well .

If you can DIY yourself and product in the link you mention is cheap enough, you can replace it with a raw 18000K-20000K chip. A RAW 30W chip about $50-$70.

From the color of the diode in the pic, that's a 3000K range bulb.
