If it's show quality that you are looking for, then drilling the tank is the only option
Overflow box (which is how water gets from the display tank to the sump) is practical, but isn't asthetically pleasing and can be noisy. Trying to rig a system that may or may not work properly, and may also flood your house. Hmmmm... The canister filter can work, but is it really worth the trouble. I talked to a member recently that had total failure and flooded his house, $95,000 later and he's still not back to 100%. And that was from 150g tank.

Cool beans.
Drilling is not hard to do as long as it's not tempered glass. TEMPERED GLASS WILL SHATTER. With a little knowledge and the correct tools, you could do it yourself. Just for future reference.

This tank Is not tempered uve replaced one side of it already Thats why im scared to. Drill it

You need to read some tank build threads and read, read, read and learn, learn, learn. Once you understand the basics, which equipment you need and why, you can make the right decisions based on what you want and can afford.

I personally would have sold the tank and purchased a nice used reef ready tank. Someone advised that already. I don't trust overflow boxes. You lose the siphon and then you get an instant flood.

Drilling a tank is easy as long as u have the right tools ..

I have a friend in the glass bussiness I think that can drill it if not I'm sure either someone from here or a petshop could reccomend someone
