Power out in flushing area, someone died not too far from me. Tree fell on his house.

OMG.

I think a lot of the trees in Flushing should be cut shorter and trimmed-they are too weak to withstand the storm nowadays. Since the days of the trio tornadoes(one of them hit my house), those trees has been killing people. Years back trunks felt even with the weight of snow in the winter.

I thought my luck tan out earlier. We've had a few flickers but nothing prolonged. Keeping our fingers crossed. Got the generator and inverter ready just in case. The flicker keeps messing with my return pump, it takes a while to kick back on. Everything else still powered. Good luck to everyone.

My power is stable again, but kept flickering and affecting my return pump and lights (I shut off the lights to protect them)

I hope my place uptown is OK. (Washington Heights) My return pump uptown may not be as forgiving. Guess I'll find out tomorrow or the day after (assuming the subways are running again anytime soon)

I hope those on MR below 22nd Street in Manhattan are doing OK. I am hearing that flooding is VERY bad.

AHHHHHH my power went out for an hour. I waited then pulled the trigger to start running all my cords to the generator. my son pulled the refrigerator out and we broke the handle to the door trying to get to the cord hooked everything up. sat down to relax not 2 minutes went by and the power came back on FML.
