i have a huge colony of anthelia and they touch alot of things with no problems.they are very peaceful and i doubt it would sting a clam.i worry more about other corals that might sting it.

my anthelia never bothered anything except a patch of yellow polyps it surrounded and smothered once. I would not let them grow on the clam shell though. that might annoy the clam.

Anthelia is pretty :) when it copmes to stinging things, but it can be a little  when it comes to growing over things it can grow quickly and smother things.

Thanks peoples for the quick responses!
I only have a small amount of anthelia marooned on a single rock.
The new clam is sitting next to it, and I just wanted to make sure (clam be expensive/anthelia be cheap).
So far no problems, and they look great together-like a jeweled egg in a nest!
