You stop making your lifes ambition to see "aq"'s demise and i will stop defending them.

1. My 'life's ambition' most certainly has nothing to do with Aquacon.
2. Only reason I comment on Aquacon is their business practices. If they changed them, I'd shut up. It's happened before, with other companies (Etropicals on RAMR comes to mind) who have turned around and who, in fact, I now recommend.
3. Pointing out disreputable businesses to avoid does help newbies, don't you think? If nothing else, it potentially saves them from dealing with a bad company.
4. I've been amazingly patient with you. You've repeatedly insulted me. You've used false names to try and vilify me, while at the same time saying how much "they admire Albee". You've lied. You've bent the truth. You've deliberately taken my words out of context. You've implied physically abusing me if you lived closer. Need I go on?
5. In the face of all the above provocation, note that you've received no warnings administratively about your behaviour, you have not been banned, not even temporarily. Your posts have not been edited, no one has deleted your insults and evasions.

My goal has been to discuss an amazingle inappropriate decision on the part of your employer. You goal seems to be nothing more then getting me to shut up.

You have a strange mind.

Really? How else was I supposed to take this?

And I am really sad that we live so far apart. I would really like to meet the "Man" behind the K/B.

And to think, you used one of your fake accounts to try to lecture me about the implied meanings of what I wrote.

If this is your goal, than talk to them.

Why would you want me to respond.? This i can't understand.

quote:
You're right, and no one should imply otherwise from my comments. As I said in the first post, John Rice is being contacted. The original intent of this thread was to give Albee a chance to address the issue. So far, his only response has been in email to me, where he says, "Yes it looks the same."

Again why would you want me to reply.? Call Ron.

You're an employee. You represent them. You can comment on what they've done, how they've reacted, what the cause was, was it intentional, will they comply with John's request, was it all a goof, do they refuse to cooperate, was it a rogue action by their webmaster with management unaware.

You could support them. You could deny the charges. You could disagree with them. You could state their actions are wrong. You could say you feel they did nothing wrong. You could bring it to the attention of your boss. You could, in short, provide the same kind of community contact that other employees do for other companies.

Hell, you're in a position to try and get positive publicity for the company by getting the situation rectified. Are you under the spotlight and on the hotseat? Yes. But it's at least as much of an opportunity for something positive as it is for something negative.

What management of Aquacon decides to do is their choice. What you, as an employee of Aquacon, choose to do is your choice. Both your actions and theirs reflect on the company. You could just play dumb and not get involved, but when you publicly defend Aquacon in every thread they get brought up in, it's inevitable that you will get involved in the end. So rather then slinging insults, think about what you could accomplish with the spotlight instead.

CJ, This is the 2nd reply on Reefcentral to someone who had gotten taken by Aquacon.

Albee's reply
quote:
You paid for this by credit card, than contact your credit card company and than notify AquaCON and advise them to either make good or you'll have no recource, but to continue trying to get a complete refund. Demand that you speak only to the Boss or someone who can make immediate decissions. If you don't get relief than Carry Out what needs to be done.

I don't alway stick up for them As a matter of fact i also bash them. there is nothing ron will do to improve.
The problem we are having is the picture thread. I did not stand up for them. The discussion turned to ownership, Proof of ownership etc. Me saying that ownership is hard to prove, does not mean that i am sticking up for the Con. When everyone condemed them so rapidly, thats when I came out. You even appologized to debi for convicting them before the trial.
I don't always stick up for them if you would like I'll search all the posts. As fir the spotlight, You must remember. I day a week on Saturday does not make a full time emplyee. An employee, yes, With absolutly no say in what goes on. None. nada, Nitnoid. Everyone there knows whats going on, They cannot do anything about it. They are upset but Jobs are hard to find nowadays.

Just try to understand, There is nothing I can do.

if you need the last word, then Go ahead. i am finished with this.

Peace
Albee

Albee sent me an email entitled 'Nice pic':

"Another big shot behind the K/B"

Please don't send me any more of them.

You have stated so many times that you can get no changes implemented at Aquacon, so stop defending them. You attatch yourself to them and take any comments about them personally. I believe this is self defeating.

You may want to look at the way you express yourself, at least in regards to Aquacon, as when you post on threads of this nature you tend to make many people, including yourself, annoyed. If this is your goal, I wish you would stop. If this is not your goal, you might want to change the way you say things so people can actually hear what you have to say.

I have the feeling that you are more interested in picking fights, than sharing useful information - as evidenced by your attacking personal note to me quoted aboove. I hope in the future you prove me wrong.

I agree. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon practice, not only in the aquaria trade, but in e-commerce world in general. The rightful owners of the pics has contacted those who "supposedly" stole their pics to have them removed. If they don't comply, then there is recourse, if they do, then at least they acted appropriately in this instance.

Why don't you all just quit it. This is certainly not going anywhere.

Charles, you have made your point. Thanks for following up with John Rice's reply.

Now, this is not something that I even remotely want to get sued over. Thread closed.

Cheers

Responses to a few posts....

From Albee:

CJ, I'm sure you would like to get into it with me here, But the BIG Administrator next to your name would make it seem one sided. In the e-mail I agreed with you on the Pic, That you forgot to mention.

Actually, I did mention it. Second post from me in this thread. Funny how you missed that.

Secondly, I was perfectly happy to discuss it on RC if you wanted to do it there, but posted here as well to give you an opportunity to if you were banned on RC. Well, even though you were banned on RC, you chose to do it there. Using a second account, pretending to be someone other then yourself, and attempting to derail the conversation every chance you got.

we did talk about it over there.

Yeah. I enjoyed being jerked around by you pretending to be a disinterested bystander with no interest at stake.

Taz wrote:
Also, I don't know why you'd mention that reefc would be a better place to discuss this, unless your afraid of the flak you may get, as the censoring over there is pretty active, from what I've heard.

Albee -was- actually banned from RC over an Aquacon thread the same day as I posted this thread over there. Only reason I posted it in both places was to give him an opportunity to address it -someplace-. He chose RC under a fake name to do it (and another fake name after that, and a third fake name after that -- all banned there, now).
