Night lighting

What could I use to dimly light the tank after my main lights go out? I keep hearing about moonlights and/or led's. Is there like a do it yourself kit or lights I could use like the LED'S for the inside of cars?

yeah i got blue LED's from Pep Boys and a universal AC adapter from Wal-Mart...With a bit of splicing you have moonlights for under $20

Can you tell me the name of the lights and adapter.

can't remember which LED's i got...They had a bunch to choose from..Just cut off the cig lighter plug and splice with wires from the AC/DC converter.

the adapter i linked has adjustable voltage so you can adjust the brightness of your LEDs...You can get a non-adjustable AC/DC converter for less, but the ability to dim/brighten is nice.
