Oh, come on now! How many of you guys have actually seen an anemone from Paloa? I can't even find it on the map!

Has anyone asked her what the scientific name for this "rare" anemone is?

Probably wouldn't know as it is rare.
I'd say either: Entacmaea bigbuckis or Entacmaea cashcoweri

David Mohr

Check this out-
Open the bottom left picture. Check out the "bleached out as the purest snow" acro he's got going there. 8O
I don't think I will ever locate a "once in a lifetime find" on Ebay. You can either get good stuff cheap, or crud even cheaper.

I sold only 2 of these this past year for well over $1500 each.
Only found 2 suckers? :?

I have some Gulf of New Mexico rock for sale. There are only a few pounds in the whole United States.

I looked through all the items in her feedback, and all she has ever sold was some sickly looking acro and tool sheds ( which she isn't the sharpest tool in)!

erm... what did you ask her again? About the scientific name? I think I will set up an ebay account just to do that.

I just told her it was E. quadricolor, and if she thinks it's not then please provide a scientific name. She can't.
The conveniently also states this

" Please feel free to e-mail me any questions you might have, however I have never been able to find any additional information on these in any book. "

Of course the idiot can't find any additional information in any book, there's no such thing as the animal she's trying to hock.

I emailed her to request the scientific name as well, but she didn't respond. Guess I shouldn't have said she was sniffing glue...

I kinda figured that would be the case, Jim. Maybe she will get shamed off of ebay. then again maybe not.
Perhaps one of the institutions she has sited as experts that can attest to the anemone's rareity can identify it.
Maybe we need a marine biologist to figure it out.
