Just saw this too (haven't been topside in months:)). Bummer man! I'm glad though that it doesn't sound like a total loss.

I have been struggling to bounce my reef back from a decline that started when I was on a business trip, came home to a lovely green hair algae biotope.

Now that everything is in a tank at the shop, it looks like the meat coral and the two large brains will survive. My frogspawn may have one or two heads survive (out of 12 total) and my green torch has two heads out (out of 8 ). My green-tip hammer coral is broken in 3 spots, but it's all out as of right now. The baby blue ricordia, trumpet button polyps, and anemone/clowns are all doing very well.

So, not as drastic as previously thought, but I still lost about $2,000.

Peace,

Chip

That sucks, but at least its not a total loss. I'm sure you'll enjoy setting up a new tank.

BTW, I like your new avatar
