I think there should be devisions (sp?) that would show us new to the hobbie what it really takes to make this all happen, and how many diffrent things you can do and get a real good tank.
Price will depend on the equipment on hand. How about a list of standard equipment. ( tank, pump, lighting, etc will not be taken out of price limit). Optional equipment and inhabitants will count toward price limit.
Yea, it's really a great idea, but the person whom already has a 180 Gallon mature tank that they can draw life and rock and sand, etc from will blow away anyone like myself that would have to pay for that stuff.
Hmmmm, I really love the idea, but I can not think how to make it fair AND fun.
If you guys can come up with some good rules, I'm in!
max of 15 gallons
100 dollar limit on equipment (including tank/lighting/filtration)
150 dollar limit for livestock (including LR/sand)
Contest runs for 4 months from start date
You MUST document/log/post your work. ideally with photographs
And the biggest thing is:
nothing allowed from a previously established tank
