Well, Not so much new here. Ive been doing alot of frag trading and am currently up to about 70 corals in the tank. I have ten fish and I definately need a bigger tank as well as a bigger skimmer. I only have room for two more colonies . One SPS and one acan.
Ive been planning a larger tank for some time and it is just now beginning to materialize. It will be a stock 180 with coner overflows and will be built into the wall to show the front and one side. Exactly like Rich's tank. Well almost.

I likely wont create a build thread because there isnt much too it. Build a shed on the back of the house for an equipment room. Wire it, insulate/ sheetrock it, automate it for ventilation and cooling. Move the 65, 40 and 30 out there. Find a bigger sump. Move all of the corals out there and frame the 180 into the wall.
The goal is to have a 180 display, 65G fuge, 30G cryptic zone with DSB, a 40 breeder frag tank and as large a sump as I can fit (55G minimum). I hope to have a 350+ Gallon system.
Believe it or not. I already have most of the equipment to do this. I just need a shed, a 180, and time to put it together. Hopefully by the end of summer.

Here are some of my most recent tank shots I recently submitted for a tank write up on my local reefing forum. I have also been asked to submit pics for a local tank calendar

Groovy pictures!

I always dream about a larger tank, but then I think about the extra effort in water changes and cleaning the glass, and extra costs associated with it (more salt, definitely need a bigger skimmer than my asmg3, etc) and I want to shoot myself!

Of course I only have like 3 fish in my tank, 2 tangs (yellow & tomani) and a yellow watchman goby.

.
Believe it or not. I have a second, three tank system in my grarage that is not quite as automated as the 120. It requires manual WC's more work taking care of ATO, testing, skimmer cleaning and the list goes on. I will actually have half of the maintanance I do now and save electricity as well (less skimmers, less flow, less actinics, the list goes on.) Plus, my wife gets to have the garage room for arts and crafts. Shes on board with this project. Heck! She bought me the skimmer to get it started.
Thanks for the good "groovy". :)

Still very nice, Duane! :D

So, is the 120G staying where it is or that spot going to be closed up?
That spot is where the 180 will be. I just have to make the hole two feet longer and decide how to trim it around the corner

I wanted to post one last pic of this tank from this morning before I stripped all of the corals out of it. My new AGA 210 has just been ordered if your wondering why I am breaking it down.
