Damels are the most colorful small fish that actually swim that I can fit in my 58G. Clowns can too I guess. Most other fish I have noticed are either hiding fish or non colorful and boring. Maybe I should dump the reef and go FO.

I have 3 green chromis, 2 firefish, 1 bicolor angel, 1 sailfin tang, 1 mandarin, 1 cleaner wrasse, 1 bicolor blenny, and 1 true percula clown. All of my fish are always out (with the exception of my cleaner wrasse, which will sometimes hide), very active, and I'm very satisfied with them. They all make me happy. I can't imagine the tank being much "fun" without them.

Have you considered anathis? Some are small they are colorful and the they swim. A small school may be all you could get in the 58.

Bartlett's anthias, Rob. You could have a nice harem in there. 1 male 5 females and that'd be a nice tank.

Peace,

Chip

Rob - I've actually done this before when I didn't work from home. Place an order for a small Tomini Tang (or whatever you want) online. Than, have it delivered to your office.

Bring with you a 2 gallon bucket, small heater (if necessary) and air pump, and some of your tank (or quarantine) water. This way, you can slowly acclimate the little guy at work, than immediately dump him in as soon as you get home.

Do you work in a monastary or something, Rob?

I think you should be looking for different employment, not for fish. ;)

Peace,

Chip
