Thanks for the welcome folks. I went back and eyeballed your frags today Aaron, and we'll be all set for your shipment tomorrow, so you can definitely expect it on Wednesday as planned. You'll have to let me know how they do for ya.

"Pick Of the Reef" @ Petsolutions II

Hey guys, I placed my second order last week with Petsolutions and the delivery came today. Ordered a few frags from the 'pick of the reef'

Great packing and the frag water was still warm... Currently in acclimation.. Here are some teaser pictures...

Here are 2 pictures of the many frags I had received today from the petsolutions website.

unlike all other websites who use photoshop to enhance the look and pigmentation of their corals they sell, petsolutions do not use any type of photoshop on their photos in 'pick of the reef' and their quality and service are TOP NOTCH!!!!!

Polyps exploded right when they went into the tank after acclimation!!! GREAT QUALITY!

Picked up a few other pieces but my camera sucks... cant seem to capture the hue/light shades of the other frags.
Loved my order.

Algae Blenny wanted in for a picture too!

I'm glad our babies went to a great new home! We've got 75 more pieces going up between this week and next week, photographs being tomorrow and updates to be posted Friday afternoon.

That blue piece that most people go crazy over is one that is fragged from a parent colony in the greenhouse where our frags are grown out. We only have frags available rarely, but every once in a while one pops up on the site.

no offense to anyone,

arron you can not see aefw's on the coral, this is unfortunately from my extensive personal experience with them. that's why it's always a good idea to QT anything new before placing it in the display.

aside from the bug talk I think those corals look amazing! I will be waiting for those to grow out :D

It would be great to get John and his company as a sponsor and or vendor on the site ;) ;)

 LOL, very sly and completely sneaky sponsorship remarks thrown in there, hehehe. We sponsor one other forum at the moment, I'll keep it in mind and will request sponsorship information to read. I will tell you that I have plans to create a custom coupon code for members of your club to use in the near future. Maybe the week after Thanksgiving I'll get one together for you all if I have the time.

As far as the quarantine recommendation, no offense taken whatsoever. Quarantining any new organism is always a good idea, even if not for AEFW, then to keep close observation for feeding behavior and the like. I will say that the acro in the photos were fragged from parent colonies on hand at the greenhouse in an sps system and then housed in the system here in my building for a few weeks before being photographed and posted on the site.

I definitely understand the suggestion about quarantine, as many companies these days bring in imported acro, cut them all up, glue them onto disks or plugs and then ship them out all in the same week. We prefer to let our stuff encrust as much as possible before sending them out so we hold onto things for a while. Also, the parent colonies are fragged from a little at a time and allowed to regrow before being fragged again or being sold. We've sold many frags of acro to folks all over the country, and no AEFW's reported yet, and as far as we are aware they are clean, but you can never be too cautious.

Have a good weekend everyone!

John
