 LOL, very sly and completely sneaky sponsorship remarks thrown in there, hehehe. We sponsor one other forum at the moment, I'll keep it in mind and will request sponsorship information to read. I will tell you that I have plans to create a custom coupon code for members of your club to use in the near future. Maybe the week after Thanksgiving I'll get one together for you all if I have the time.
As far as the quarantine recommendation, no offense taken whatsoever. Quarantining any new organism is always a good idea, even if not for AEFW, then to keep close observation for feeding behavior and the like. I will say that the acro in the photos were fragged from parent colonies on hand at the greenhouse in an sps system and then housed in the system here in my building for a few weeks before being photographed and posted on the site.
I definitely understand the suggestion about quarantine, as many companies these days bring in imported acro, cut them all up, glue them onto disks or plugs and then ship them out all in the same week. We prefer to let our stuff encrust as much as possible before sending them out so we hold onto things for a while. Also, the parent colonies are fragged from a little at a time and allowed to regrow before being fragged again or being sold. We've sold many frags of acro to folks all over the country, and no AEFW's reported yet, and as far as we are aware they are clean, but you can never be too cautious.
Have a good weekend everyone!
