I purposely refrain from answering many questions I see here because My ways are usually very old school and some of them are almost unknown today. The knowlege of this old technology is almost lost because there is no money to be made on them. Most of the authors of reef books got into the hobby 10 years after the hobby started and do not know a lot of the original ways we used to do things that have always worked. Modern fish keeping has been popular since right after WW2 which is when I got into it.
For instance I keep reading ich cures like garlic and cleaner shrimp. I try to keep away from those posts because I disagree with them.
Ich is the easiest malady to cure and you can eliminate ich from a fish in a day.
Pop Eye too but you may not like the cure.
If I answer a question I try to be informative without sounding condesending. If I do ever sound like that (and someone told me once that I did) I would like for you to correct me. I don't get mad. This is a fish Forum and not a War. (I have been in both) :shhh:
Anyway lets not bash and Noobs and have a great day.

Paul,

In the past you mentioned you patented an automatic feeder for seahorses. I was wondering if we could talk about what you created? I created something of my own that worked but it was only good for two days. I'm wondering what you created? And if I have to, I'll buy one from you.

Do you know how to use the reefberry tool? If so, do you mind talking about this for a few minutes? I hate having other people feed my tank so I have been trying to find a way to control the feeding when I travel (which unfortunately is a lot for work).

Thanks Paul!

BTW, I agree with almost all of the posts on this thread. Everyone has their opinions and no ONE opinion is right or wrong. Just because there is a lot of information on the web and on this site doesn't mean it is always correct. No harm in asking a question again to further validate or educate.

Domboski, I invented that seahorse feeder about 15 years ago, I sold about 6,000 of them some to places like Iran and Moskow. It only worked with adult brine shrimp and we don't use brine shrimp for much anymore (rightly so) so I stopped manufacturing them.
I don't know what a Reefbury tool is and never heard of it. What is it?
When I travel I just use an automatic feeder with pellets. I used to have a dish that sat on the bottom and the feeder would deposit pellets into the dish three times a day, That way the food diden't go all over the tank

I also have to say something about this. Everything that I have ever submitted to a magazine was published without question. I am not anynear near the God of fish and I have no credentials which brings me to my point. I could have been making all that stuff up, just because you see it in print doesen't mean it's true. :usa1:

Thanks Paul! The reefberry is the instant message I sent you and responded. I'll contact you again through that since I already hijacked enough of this thread.

Thank you!
