I really like the semi-transparent panel on the kitchen side which gives off that nice blue glow (most likely from the MH / actinics I'm guessing?).

thank you, my setup was truely inspired by a few really nice setups that i have seen, but the two that really gave me my end result was Jon's(jhale) and Greenwich Aquarias main display tank. Thanks to both of you for giving me a view to make my dream come true.

Now that my tank has been cycling for a little over a month I have decided with much pestering from Russ (MasterSwimmer) to start posting some photos. So without further ado...........

This is a shot from outside through the Sliders to our patio.

And finally this is a shot of the Sump and Fuge in the storage room directly behind the Display Tank.

I would like to personally thank everyone who pitched in to make this all possible including Rick (NYreefNoob) who unfortunately is a big boy so he is often called upon for the heavy lifting, and Jim and Russ of SaltWater Critters dot com, whom I contracted this job through and put up with all of my stupid questions.

Yes and the window is actually tinted. The flash lit it up bright.

That's because most people have high phosphates. My tanks always got direct light. I actually prefer it. What about sun lit prop systems?

mine is next to a window also, as well all my tanks have been, never had a problem actually like it better because i get a few hours of real light, mitch you know we needs a full frontal, glad to see it up and running.

after readin all of this forum and every entry made, i have come to a conclusion. all you guys and gals go to extreme to properlly display your reef tanks. and for that i think you all are crazy for going to the extreme..............(sigh!!!!)...... fortunatelly im going the same road lol. im setting up my first ever reef tank, and now i understand the philosophy behind it all. i have become addicted to reef aquariums.

congrats m.r. for being the best web club on this topic. soon ill display my own pics. congrats you all.
