excuse my stupidity
(just took a nap :D )

but does it say if its injection driven? venturi?

just from the look of it doesnt look as impressive as a needlewheel, but thats solely based on looks, since I know nothing of the skimmer

Any pics of it in action?

I had the older model, see below, it came with a controller, so you could adjust the pump speed, you where also able to adjust the height on the skimmer so it could be wet or dry skimmer. The Tunze worked different than the other skimmers as it skimmer small amounts of water, unlike other skimmer that you pull large amount of water into the skimmer chamber. The Tunze would take in smaller amount but it would strip that small amount of water much more effectivly than skimmer that take in large amounts of water.

Wow! that chamber is small!!

usually the larger the chamber the larger the tank it handles, but this is for a pico right?...:D

:joke:

BTW
anyone have the patent site? I remember going there before when I DIY'd a remora, and as long as you :make it for personal use: its free information you can duplicate.

if anyone wants to PM me it.PLMK

john do you think the bubble king is better? it's 1/3 more air injected into the skimmer
bubble king is 33 liters per min
tunze is 21 liters per min, i wonder which one is a better skimmer.

Does anyone in MR have a bubble king 300? or any bubble king? That is a beast, and it would probably take two arms and two legs to get.. LOL..

I'm thinking the harder part now is 9010 for wet or a 9015 for dry...

bugatti vs350z. They are both good cars but I definitely prefer one over the other. Affordability however is another story.

:D how many more analogies do you have up your sleeve?

That's the smaller model but and the inside tube can be raised up. The skimmer works on a different prinicpal then the other skimmer that inject large amount of water into the chamber. The Tunze do small amount of water at a time but really strip them clean much more than other skimmers. They work very well and do produce alot of waste. They're very expensive and they actually use to cost even more than what they do now.
