I love the ESV salt, I have been using different salts over 16 years and have had results with the ESV that I never saw before. It's a 4 part mix the mixes almost perfect everytime, and is ready for use in 10 minutes. All of my corals have been growing like crazy this past month since I have moved them into a new tank with all ESV salt. I have softies/LPS/SPS and zoas in there. And I have had no need to dose anything

been using IO for years...I've heard of the not disolving issue, but hasn't happened to me. I like it because it's cheap, can be found everywhere and even though I have to bump up the cal and mag it's still cheaper to use then alot of other salts....it's also pretty consistant from bucket to bucket.

I've been using GTA Formula 2 for NSW results. Each mixture gives me perfect parameters. Its a little costly though. Another really good one that gets amazing reviews from users is H2Ocean. I've been contemplating the switch but I have to go through my supply of GTA, and that could take another year!

Other notable mentions are: Tropic Marin Pro Salt, Brightwell's Neo Marine (NSW).

I use Oceanic Natural Sea Salt Mix. I used to use Tropic Marin for a long time... it was a good and fairly expensive brand, but wanted to try Oceanic... it's $25 bucks cheaper per bucket and it has better calcium and magnesium levels. I'm happy with it cuz it dissolves super quick. I'm kinda suprised not a lot of people use this :d

I did use Oceanic for a long time. Dissolves super quick and worked great. dKH was too high when I went Zeovit a year ago so I had to switch.

I used it for awhile, but the cal level was way too high over 500 and inconsistant from bucket to bucket.

i would uses esv but for me this mixing all these parts together is a turn off.
The mixing is very easy and very fast. There is a chart included with it and all the measuring cups and spoons you need. I was a little worried about it also but it is so easy and much more accurate than the mixes. Also every regular mix I have ever used I had some type of leftover in the bucket after a mix. And Seachem reef salt is horrible. I just threw half a bucket out, because every batch had so many different levels it was crazy. And there was always some black stuff in it after every mix.
