There is very little coral in the Caribbean that has any commercial value. Even if collection was legal in Cuba or Fla....... what color brown would sell at retail? Same goes for Hawaii, What coral would we collect? Pavona is a maybe in Hawaii ....but there are very few marketable corals there as well. Fish from Cuba? Sure, but Dominica and Haiti have flooded the US market already. Now Ascension Island! Thats an Atlantic collection point to die for...... :wink:naesco":7sy0tafe said:Is anyone importing fish or coral from Cuba?

There is at least one Canadian importer of Cuban livestock, as far as I know there's only one exporter in Cuba and they're more interested in FW so don't put alot of effort into collecting marines.

Eat your fill and then re-enter the states using your colon as the transport container. Why is that one can eat almost any reef fish one catches fishing in Cuba.........but cannot take one home alive? Does the cuban reef miss a fish more if the removed fish is still alive living in an aquarium ?

Well I wasn't planning on importing any for resale. I was just wondering if the freedom loving Republic of Cuba allowed Canadians or Americans to take some home with them when their vacation was finished.
Do you know by any chance?
