You guys in the US get TONS of great stuff, but you're completely ripped off with the Gem tangs. You can find thousands of the buggers off the coast of South Africa, I'm guessing you just don't have the shipping routes and you're buying them through 3rd, 4th or 5th parties.
Well yes, Europe tends to be the filter for both Red Sea and African exports to the US. A mear few years ago the price was lower, but the demand has grown that much more then supply and prices have increased as expected. The US market has grown far faster in recent years then any other country. China is on track to beat that growth, and become the largest demand for MO.
