i find your obssession with borneman 'curious'-very 'curious' indeed.

how could it be 'curious' if you have NO CLUE as to why ?

Hmm... well, honestly, you seem no less "obesessed" with my website than I am (or not).

how could it be 'curious' if you have NO CLUE as to why ?
I'm sorry if you don't know what the word "curious" means. Let me explain... you can't be curious about something if you already know it. People are curious about what they DON'T know. Get it?

Vitz, get over it. Stop picking for pickings sake. Your obsession with sihaya is getting old - see how silly that is?

Thanks Thales

Bookfish - yeah, I'm not sure why this popped up in this forum. I didn't even think to look here (that's probably why I didn't find this until the thread had almost died). The only industry related concern I can think of is how this might influence how much we might all trust (or not trust) Mr. Borneman's new product line...

Borneman is making a product line? Like Sprung? Additives or equipment and the like?

I would trust it. He is an icon to coral fanatics!

I hope it's not too pricey, and I hope it involves tiny live food.....

Yeah, it's called "Elements" and right now I think it's just carbon.

I think I'd trust it as much as I'd trust any product line from a hobby guru... which is basically no more than I'd trust any brand of products in this hobby. I'll keep an open mind, but as with any new product line, I'll still be skeptical (as always).

I HIGHLY doubt it will involve tiny live food. Those foods are exceedingly difficult to produce for commercial sale. Have you heard of Ocean Pods? The lady who cultures and sells them is pretty cool...

As for price, I'm sure they will be at least a bit overpriced. I'm only saying this because that's how the industry of this hobby happens to be (and because branding costs money). In all likelihood, Mr. Borneman wouldn't be producing the products himself, but he'd still want a commission for the use of his name (and for whatever work he does to select the manufacturer, ingredients, etc.). So, basically, you're going to pay more for his name... kinda like how you pay more for any brand name product than you do for generic. I'm not saying it's wrong or it's right, it just seems to be the way it is with products and branding/marketing (especially in this hobby).

Why is he picking for pickings sake, I had never heard of Sihaya before her website and I find her obsession with Eric Borneman to be very curious indeed.

Btw, anyone else find it a bit curious that Mr. Borneman has pulled out of IMAC for this year?

BTW what does this have to do with your website and related issues? Or did you just want to stir the pot some more lol

I'm no more obsessed with Mr. Borneman than are (what appears to be) more than half the people in this hobby. I simply don't like the untouchability this man has enjoyed for the past 10+ years. When I critiqued his salt study, I was very professional, intelligent and fair. And yet, I still got attacked (by Steven Pro and the rest of the regular Borneman crew). Borneman himself attacked my credentials, my intelligence and then did everything he could to keep my critique off the forums.

I'm also disgusted by his history of threatening to sue anyone and everyone who insults him. As someone who loves the law, his abuse of the legal system to bully his detractors into silence offends me on professional and philosophical levels.

I commend you on admitting that this isnt purely a concern for the corals collected in Florida :P

On second thought, I am going with bookfish on this thread, and I'm locking it.
