  1. Pros/Cons of Shrimps

I haven't read any complaints of cleaner shrimp. As for the others, all shrimp are opportunistic carnivores. If they are hungry they may eat whatever is available - polyps, sand critters, fish, you name it. You can feed them to make sure they aren't hungry so they wont eat other animals in your...

  5. Garlic? Why not stress coat?

In a garlic thread someone mentioned that one of the things garlic did was help slime production. Anyone know if this is true, and if yes, why wouldn't the addition of strees coat or novaqua or any of the other slime coatings help stop ich? RR

  8. will garlic get rid of ich?

If one of the points of garlic is to stimulate the slime coat, what about adding stress coat or novaqua? Or is this all old reefers tales? RR
  9. The dark side of reefing.

But people will see your tools and your 30-30 and ask you where you got them and you will say "Sears but you shouldn't buy them". Yet you get to enjoy the tools since you are are "grandfathered in". Supporting a ban and supporting the industry are not mutually exclusive. Some people here are...

  15. Peppermints gone bad

They were fed a buttload all the time. Really. I used to believe feeding would keep them happy, but they started tast testing stuff in the tank after almost 2 years. I no longer believe that opportunistic predators can be kept in check by good feeding. Sometimes they want to snack. RR
