I had one and he was my favorite fish. I also had to get rid of him because all of the problems he caused. My main problem is he would take the food from my anemone. He would also dig under large rocks and eventually they would move and it would make a mess. I would have to replace rocks all...
My skimmer sucks, but everything is still living. To be honest you don't even have to have a skimmer. I considered getting a Bullet 1, but I just don't want to spend $350 bucks on it. So I question is it worth the extra money? Do you need it to skim better?
I have just now got my skimmer working after my tank has been up for 8 months. Don't worry about the skimmer. BTW I did the stupid damsel thing too. One of these days I might get motivated to catch them.
I have had my 75 up for about 9 months with no skimmer. Though I am going to add it tomorrow. I am finally getting the proper pump for my skimmer. Anyways to be honest a skimmer is not really needed. I think it would help my tank some though. My sump is a mess.
Most will do to be honest. I bought an anemone that was not the "best host". About a week being in the tank I saw my true perc's chillin in the anemone.
My tank was covered in aiptisia. I mean covered. I bought a Copperbanded Butterfly and in three weeks I have like none left. I mean he took it out quick. Makes me wish I got a smaller one. Plus it is a cool looking fish.
I know the skimmer is oversized for the tank.
Will this be a problem is my question. I would rather have a PM bullet skimmer, but alas you don't see many forsale. And I don't have 600 bucks or so to buy a new skimmer.
My iwaki's impeller broke today and my I have an old PM skimmer which is a POS. It is some early counter current model with an iwaki MD-20RXT. So I think it is time just to get a whole new setup. Someone has an EV-200 with an iwaki MD-30RXT pump. I have a 75gal reef tank right now. Will this...
