If the lights were the only thing plugged in to that particular receptacle, I would think that the culprit was a loose connection on one of the screws. I wondered about the bubbles too, but I've noticed bubbles in some polyps of what looks like some kind of cup coral. Also, I can't really say for sure that the bubbles are inside or on the surface. It does appear gelatinous, like you said knowse. I'm at a loss after going through the algae...

From all the research I've done so far, it seems this is some type of cup coral...anyone have a clue? These are the polyps I could get with the camera. On the rear of the same live rock, there is another group with a polyp so large it ate my bangaii cardinal! They seem to be doing well so far...

Hey jsn, I have a 135 (72x18x24) from Glass Cages. Pretty much everything I've read about them online has proven true in actual experience. It's pretty heavy duty. With the extra glass reinforcing the seams on the bottom, I can't see this thing ever leaking. Pros: *Great price...

Great show about invasive species. Sadly, it seems the origin is from the Monaco Oceanographic institute and aquarists. :( Here's a link to the NOVA website... http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/algae/ It certainly illustrates the need for caution and the price we pay for careless actions.
