+1, all I will say is be careful where you buy from. I have a lot to say but I will not put out any negative feedback about anyone nor any business on MR.

I agree their service sucked lately i had to put them on buyers punishment these guys prices were great with discounts on muti buys and everything me and friends travel all the way from queens weekly recently we were there was told one price on the floor got to the register and then the girl said all the prices were given wrong we were so upset we just left without buying anything

In my opinion..
Maximum reef is a great place if you are knowledgeable about reefing and pricing.
It is not for the novice reefer!
Go in doing research.. knowingbase prices, species compatibility and marks of good health.
Other ?fish? places will give you better advice, recommendations, and longerwarranty periods however all that is reflected at a higher price tag.

Everybody should give their feed back if they want positive OR negative

Negatative feedback should also be apprecciated because it can be turn into something positive and in the long run it can help the store itself
People always try to "sugar coat"when something isnt right

instead of just coming on here and bashing them, why not talk to the owner, what you guys dont realize, by just running to MR to make a post about it, ( really havent ever seen something said that was really a bad situation ) talk to the owner, one quick google of their name brings all this up, and i said it before, go to the high dollar store's and your treated no different. ive been to stores all over NY,NJ and CT

to the guy that said it is a good store for a knowledgable person, you should be doing your own research for what your tank can handle or go into it. it's a store, just like if you go to any other type of business they are going to sell you what you want

But these are the same ppl camping out whenever max has 20$ sps sale.
I just don't understand if I had a bad experience in one place...I would just simply not go back.. They want to praise them about the fish prices but bash them b/c they are not posted ...lol

I think you guys should all chip in and make your own "perfect store" see how easy it is...

every one know im a max reed supporter to the fullest but i went the other day and the new employees suck they have no clue what they are doing but there is one dude who s learning and he was very helpful but i agree after ivan left they fell off a lil bit and everyone can agree on that

Dang that sucks, should get some tolls deducted. that's if your in Manhattan. still worth the drive to see some nice coral and fish.
