Worth the price difference? Do I really need the Nikon for low light macro condition of shooting coral?
~$470 vs ~$900 respectively.
thanks in advance

I like it but my concern is more about the fluorescence of corals fouling the senors of the camera and may be some macro lens works better some works less than better with corals.
Hi Wingo, Please explain your question before we can help you choose a suitable lens.
so nikon is what you recommend i think.get orange with orange dont get orange with apple! you know what you want stop being cheap!...:tongue1:
good pointand most of all the resale value is great on nikon lens..just incase you need to upgrade.
well a good lens value r always there WYPIWYG. tons reviews on the net. and most importantly how much you know the cam! most ppl(including my self)think that if they get a nice DSLR the picture will be awesome which is a HUGE mistake!
Remember a good photographer can take better pictures with a cheap lens and extension tubes that a beginner with the best equipment and only you know your level of expertise.
I am settling my heart on this one
Nikon AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED
Thanks for the ino.Remember the following when you are doing 1:1 shots (lifesize) distance to subject
Nikon 60mm about 7"
Sigma 70mm 10.1"
Nikon 105mm 13.8
In a fish tank 7" is not enough
