Fuge bulb?

Hi,
I'm getting ready to change my refugium bulb (spotlight type).
I can't remember or make out K rating.
Any know rating for good cheato growth and does HD or Lowes carry?

I tried that and it never worked that well.
I ended up getting a low end Acan LED recently and my fuge is growing crops.
It also turned my fuge into a frag section for new cuts.

How much is a low end Fixture?

I got a dual xenon 20w fixture from lowes for like $10. I have seen the bulb mentioned above suggested a few times though.

I bought the 300 series18" for $200 when it first came out. But it turned my fuge into something i could use for frags.
Those Home Depot bulbs never worked well for me but i have a fuge 18" deep.
Ill give the Par 38 cfl I used with the shop light housing for a frag of something if you want.

100m watt equivalent cfl with dome will work if just for macroalgae

I am using an LED based 5000K. My refugium seems to enjoy it.

can you clarify what you mean by spotlight type? Does the bulb has two pins, or two prong with small knobs at the end or a screw on type connector?

Whichever kind of connectors you are going to use, I suggest to go with LED much less hassle about light degradation
