lean a tremendous amount from. I have one in mind, and it's not very hard to read.
You can also use it to look up just about anything you'll need to know.

you can get a 250w retro kit (which isnt a fixture) for around 200... it includes the ballast, bulb, reflector and wiring.... all you have to do it put it together and screw it into a hood.
