lost everytimei get something new it ends bad

I have API test kits. the reef kit i just got so its new. and the other a yaer old. i def think its the Phos cuz the zoo and snails died off. everything else seems fine. my tank is actually like 82. my therms were wrong and i had a feeling to so i got new ones and i was right.

Meg, it could very well be your higher temp although 82 compared to my 85 seems like nothing. I have lost a ton of my sps due to the high temps. The phos depending on high those are could as well be the cause.

Do you have a chiller? If not how about running your A/C even though you are not home for the sake of the tank?

I believe you already know what to do to battle the phosphates.
