Because this hobby is more about patience and learning than rushing out and buying whatever you want on a whim.
Every purchase should be researched exhaustively before you place it into your system.

These are closed systems and whatever you add has requirements and consequences that the system has to maintain.
An anemone needs a matured tank with low phosphates and a certain amount of flow to be happy. Someone just walking into a store and buying a nem clownfish combo without realizing this is going to learn this the hard way. We prefer they educate themselves and not let this happen for the benefit of the fish and the hobby. This nem should have gone to someone more prepared.

Not flaming anyone with the above, because most of us have made some mistakes in this hobby. But since you asked I felt you deserved the answer straight up.

jkedra, people here are trying to help you and you do not really listen that is why everyone feels like this...

and everyone is making comments. How about this. If that anemone dies, you take a break and research the next things you are going to do a little more than you have been thus far. There are a lot of people in this hobby who never achieve much success, shop at the LFS exclusively and maintain alive but unhealthy tanks. Do not be one of them, you know about this site and are trying, but honestly you should run purchases by someone who knows what they are doing. It doesn't have to be on this site but it should be someone who has a tank that is healthy. Have you been to anyones place and seen what a really healthy reeftank looks like? If so, run your purchases by that person. If not maybe someone from the board close to you could try to show you the ropes. Good luck with your tank man,

James

and this is why people keep saying the same thing over and over to you. the nem is bleached and mouth is extruding, wont be long before it starts to turn inside out and die, if it does die in the tank and not caught right away can cause alot of other problems to the tank, trust me we all want you to make it in the hobby and have a beautiful tank, { even me } but the advice being given to you is from experiance, not hate. pretty much all of us at the beginning went through the stuff you are going through. fortunate for me early on in the hobby i made a real good friend that had been in the hobby for quite some time and gave me alot of info as well as seeing his system and what all he had and how it worked.

if you can move the rock its on up closer to the light, then try that. also feed it small chopped up foods that are easier to diegest. really try to get it up as close to the light as possible.

the thing about mags is, once they are off even a little its verry hard to get them back.

if you can get it in the light. and it wont eat take some cyclopeeze and Galvage feed it. that means use the 5mil syringe from your test kit and verry carefully put the tip directly into the mouth and push in 1-2mill of tank water and cyclopeeze.

you want it as close to the lights as possible. mine is about 18" directly under a 250w metal halide. just get it as close as you can even if its only temporary. just to give it the best chance you can.

Also, my T5 light fixture has reflectors...and I also have a perfect spot for it about a bit higher than midway up the tank...Ive heard two ways you can move it...1. Peel it off with something flat, or 2. use the ice cube method? Which method is considerably better?

niether in its condition it may not have the energy to re attach itself. can you move the rock, even for a little while? right now its not about what spot is best for you, its about what spot is best for the nem. top dead center.

Yup, I cant move the rock its currently on cause its the base rock...But the good thing about it was when I got it and acclimated it and all that, I just set it in that one spot, and it has not moved since...I just hope it will be like that when I move it.

i know nothing about nems but from what i hear i think you should get a vortech and blast it on the anemone and put it so high that its tentacles are touching the top of the water. then if it doesn't like the spot it will move to where it want to go.
